Immersive Learning Experience Selected Participant - March 2025

Selected for Truist’s immersive innovation program, I worked with two other students alongside Truist mentors and AWS partners to design an AI-powered application leveraging LLM technology to enhance user engagement within the Innovation and Technology Center. I spearheaded the planning process using Miro to map out empathy maps, user journeys, and personas, ensuring our solution was grounded in real user needs. I also led the presentation design, using Canva and Figma to develop a clean, high-fidelity prototype and cohesive visual storytelling. Our project was then presented to Truist leadership and AWS technology partners, including the CEO and senior executives.

  • Where the Idea Took Shape
As part of Truist’s immersive innovation program, a team of two students and I collaborated with AWS partners, Truist mentors, and fellow students to tackle the challenge of enhancing user engagement within Truist’s Innovation & Technology Center. The early planning phase included using Miro to create empathy maps, user personas, and journey flows—laying the foundation for a product powered by large language models and TruistAssist.

  • Turning Vision Into Reality
We built a Figma prototype of the chatbot interface, focusing on clean UI and thoughtful user experience flows. We integrated features that aligned with user needs and Truist’s innovation priorities. The chatbot functionality was designed to provide real-time assistance and personalized recommendations for the tour for college students.

  • Presenting and Sharing the Vision I spearheaded creating the final presentation, ensuring that our team’s work was communicated through compelling storytelling, clear visuals, and strategic framing. Our project was selected by Truist leadership as a standout solution during internal judging and review. Truist CEO Bill Rogers stated that several of the ideas from the experience would be implemented.

Startup Exchange - MentHER Program

I helped spearhead the creation and execution of MentHER, a mentorship initiative under Georgia Tech’s Startup Exchange that connects students—particularly female-identifying individuals—with professionals in entrepreneurship, tech, and business. The program was designed to foster inclusive networking, peer learning, and long-term support for underrepresented founders and future innovators. My role centered around strategy, operations, and tech integration—developing tools to streamline mentor-mentee matching, optimizing communication workflows, and expanding engagement through cross-campus partnerships.

  • MentHER was created to fill a critical gap in Georgia Tech’s startup ecosystem—connecting women and non-binary students with mentorship opportunities in tech, entrepreneurship, and business. As part of the Startup Exchange Executive Board, I helped design this initiative to create a more inclusive and empowering space for underrepresented voices in innovation.

  • I developed a custom Excel matching tool using AI-assisted logic to pair mentees with mentors based on interests, experience, and availability—boosting match accuracy by over 50%.

  • Building MentHER taught me how to translate a vision into a scalable, people-first solution. I deepened my skills in operational strategy, inclusive design, and community-building. Our partnerships across campus expanded participation by 35%, and the feedback we received helped set a strong foundation for future MentHER cohorts.
